The soldiers of the Italian Army of the Task Force Expo, on Sunday night, found three children who had lost their parents. The soldiers, alerted by the police, immediately began searching for the three minors within the Exhibition Site. Around one o'clock in the morning, after more than an hour after the closure of the site, the military found the children 50 meters from the Cascina Merlata exit. The children, frightened by losing their orientation and their mother, were reassured and reunited with their family.

Last night, however, an Italian Army patrol engaged in the "Safe Roads" operation intervened to quell a violent scuffle in Piazza Firenze. The military, belonging to the Lombardy Tactical Group, were engaged in the patrol service aboard a car, when, realizing a fight in progress between a dozen individuals, with a very violent attitude, they intervened promptly. Immediate communication to the State Police operations room, the soldiers collaborated with the agents to block the subjects. The people involved, of Egyptian nationality, were subsequently identified for the investigations of the case. The immediate intervention of the military made it possible to safeguard the other people present and protect passersby.
