"Safe Roads": patrol sires a fight between foreigners

Verona, an Italian Army patrol, engaged in the "Safe Roads" operation in the Scaligeri capital, intervened during the night to quell a brawl in the central Piazza Brà.

The Army military - belonging to the 17 ° Controaerei Controaerei "Sforzesca" Regiment - were engaged in the surveillance service, when they were alerted by some passersby who reported an ongoing fight between six individuals, presumably of foreign nationality, some of the which armed with a knife.

The patrol promptly arrived at the site, with the law enforcement colleagues blocked and disarmed the subjects involved, who were later escorted to the barracks for the appropriate investigations.

The "Safe Roads" operation, from August 2008, involves the Italian Army for specific crime prevention needs, in the main metropolitan areas, through surveillance activities to sensitive sites and targets, as well as patrolling and patrolling, in competition for law enforcement.
