In Carmignano, in the Prato area, the story of the fifteen-year-old who died on the morning of September 30 was successfully concluded. The young man was found late in the evening along the paths along the Bisenzio river. Cold and frightened, the boy was reassured by the soldiers who took him to the emergency room, where he re-embraced his parents.

While the story ended with understandable relief, another Army patrol, belonging to the paratrooper training center of the "Folgore" of Pisa, was performing an intervention in Piazza Naldini in Pontedera (PI). The staff on duty noticed, inside an area used as a playground, an egg and a bar of presumed narcotic substance.
The "narco-test", carried out locally by the agents of the State Police, confirmed the presence of 16,9 grams of heroin in the egg while the bar was composed of hashish with a weight of 5,30 grams.

Since August 2008, the Army soldiers have contributed, with the "Safe Roads" operation, to increasing the security of the country, in collaboration and jointly with the police, in preventing petty crime and countering terrorist threats .
