"Safe Roads" in Padua and Vicenza

23/03/15

From Wednesday 18 March the Lagoons of the "Serenissima" regiment returned to the streets of Padua, involved in the "Safe Roads" Operation, aimed at combating crime in many Italian cities.

Following the agreements between the competent departments and the Prefecture of Padua, the lagooners will be employed to fix critical and sensitive points in the Euganean capital but also in the normal dynamic patrolling of the streets.

A similar activity will be carried out by the Alpine troops of the 8 ° Regiment of Venzone (UD), who will contribute to safety in the Municipality of Nanto (VI) due to the recent increase in crime in the area.

The Army, since August 2008, participates in the "Safe Roads" operation in competition and jointly with the police, guaranteeing security and prevention of crime by protecting sensitive points and patrolling city areas.
