"Safe Roads": military blocks two drug dealers

In recent days, an Army tactical group "Lombardy" patrol stopped two drug dealers at the Rogoredo railway station.

Alerted by a conductor, the military, in collaboration with the Railway Police officers, blocked the two men and after the search they seized a large quantity of marijuana in doses ready to be sold. The detainees, of Italian nationality, have been identified and reported for possession of narcotic drugs for drug dealing purposes.

The "Safe Roads" Operation, since August 2008, sees the Italian Army engaged for crime prevention needs, in metropolitan areas, through surveillance activities at sensitive sites and targets, as well as patrols and patrols, in competition and jointly with Police Forces.
