Today in Corato, in the Sanctuary "Maria SS Incoronata in San Cataldo" in the presence of the territorial commander of the Army in Puglia, general Mauro Prezioso and the mayor of Corato, dr. Massimo Mazzilli, Msgr. Gino De Palma celebrated the Christmas Holy Mass in suffrage for the soldiers of the Apulian Army who died at home and abroad.

The religious function, held annually, wants to remember those Italians who, engaged in their homeland and in missions in support of international peace and security, lost their lives keeping alive the example of courage and dedication to service.

To make the celebration particularly significant, a large representation of family members of the fallen soldiers, the presence of the senator of the republic Luigi Perrone, as well as all the combat and weapons associations present on the territory.

At the end of the activity, General Prezioso thanked Mayor Mazzilli and all the municipal council for having accepted with enthusiasm and lively participation the proposal to be able to celebrate, just in Corato, the traditional meeting of the Army Military Command with the families of the fallen Puglia, thus allowing citizenship the opportunity to express their closeness to the armed force and its fallen.

An opportunity to show the pride of belonging to our homeland.
