Battery save to commemorate the centenary of the Great War

To commemorate the sacrifice of the fallen, the nation stopped at 15.00 today with a minute of silence observed by institutions, civil society and the world of sport. A silence punctuated with a save of honor shot by the military in 24 cities, in all regions.

In Rome, from Piazzale del Gianicolo, an artillery battery in historical uniform from the 1st World War greeted the anniversary of the beginning of the Great War with a salvo of 4 shots.

The military 16s employed and the four howitzers from 105 / 14 are in force at the Regimental Regiment of the artillery Command stationed in Bracciano.
