On the occasion of the commemorations of the centenary of Italy's entry into the war, the Army Training Command and Application School, in collaboration with the Interdepartmental University Structure in Strategic Sciences (SUISS) of the University of Turin (UNITO ), organized the seminar “Rethinking the Great War. Lessons for the Centenary ".

The four-day course of lessons (19-22 May) began yesterday with a speech by the commander for the training, general division Claudio Berto.

The training activity is addressed to the 118 official students of the 193 course and to the 44 university students of the three-year and specialized degree courses in Strategic Sciences who have enrolled in the seminar and constitutes a deepening of the military historical studies peculiar to the degree course.

The module promises itself, through the contribution of various specialists in the field, among which the prof. emeritus Gian Enrico Rusconi, the prof. Giangiacomo Migone and the dott. Sergio Toffetti, director of the National Archive of Business of Ivrea (TO), to address general aspects of modern historiography on the Great War, highlighting, also through the exemplification of lesser known sources and materials, aspects of relevant interest usually less treated in institutional courses.
