The on. Rossi took part today in the 72nd Anniversary of the "Acqui Division". Accompanied by the prefect of Verona, Salvatore MULAS, and by the commander of the Ground Operations Forces, gen. ca Alberto Primicerj, the undersecretary went to the "Acqui Division Park" to lay a laurel wreath at the national monument dedicated to fallen Italian soldiers.
During the commemoration ceremony, in which, among others, the president of the National Association of the Acqui Division Graziella Bettini, Hon. Rossi recalled the sacrifice of the Army men who fought on the Greek islands of Kefalonia and Corfu.
After the armistice, the "Acqui", which remained in defense of the islands, refused the surrender and, from 8 to 25 September, engaged in a desperate and bloody struggle with the German forces, which ended with the massacre of almost all components of the Division.
