The certification as an aeronautical training institution according to the AER directive (ep) .p-2147 identifies instead the 4th "Altair" as: "Organization that provides training services for military aircraft maintenance personnel and / or its components".

The regiment commander, col. Pier Luigi Verdecchia, in complimenting the staff, underlined how this result was the result of intense teamwork that required the commitment and availability of all, and that it was possible to achieve thanks to a professionalism that the department has consolidated over the experience matured in its 40 years of history. The achievement of such an important goal represents the right recognition of the commitment, first and foremost, of the section responsible for the PTCQM (Technical Requirements and Maintenance Quality Control), led by 1st March. Eugenio Bergozza, who has carried out a fundamental work of coordination, and constitutes the starting point for a management of flight units based on an innovative mentality and in step with the times.
