In the new coat of arms, in particular, the sabers symbol of the Risorgimento conflict and now fallen with Austria have been eliminated, placing at the center of the shield the armor (lorica) and the helmet to symbolize the centrality of man, whose elements distinctive are: being (or motivation), "knowing how to be" (a combination of moral and ethical-military qualities) and "knowing how to do" (knowing how to apply the technical skills acquired, or leadership).
