Paratroopers intervene in defense of a couple of tourists

During the weekend, the soldiers of the "Tuscany" group working in the Pisan capital intervened, in the central Corso Italia, to help a couple of tourists.

The patrol, composed of three graduates of the Parachute Training Center (Pisa) and two officers of the Police Forces, was recalled by some passersby who reported a violent dispute in the middle of the public street.

The military, rushed to the point reported, have blocked three young Italians who, in an evident state of alcoholic intoxication, had attacked a couple of spouses who were walking. The aggression, started with some balls intentionally pulled by young people against the two tourists, had degenerated as a result of the intervention of the man in defense of his wife, made the subject of heavy appreciation and verbal harassment.

The army soldiers then proceeded to separate and detain resolutely the individuals who, continuing to rant against the couple, were taken to the police station for the fulfillment of the case. Subsequent checks have shown that two of the three, in their early twenties, already have previous crimes. The third young man, a minor, was re-assigned to his parents, summoned to the police station.
