Parachuting, successes at the ParaShow 2015

(To Army Majority State)
31/08/15

This weekend gives the Athletes of the Parachuting Training Center of the Army great satisfactions.
The chief corporal chosen Francesco Gullotti, one of the four soldiers of the Army summoned to the national team by the technical director 1 marshal Paolo Bevilacqua on behalf of the Aeroclub of Italy, finished on the podium as third overall in the European Championship of sports parachuting in specialty of landing precision.

The competition was held in Erden in Bulgaria and involved the best European national teams for a total of about 100 athletes of the highest level. The Italian national team unfortunately only finished sixth just eight centimeters from the podium. The win was Slovenia, which confirmed its excellent moment, followed by Russia and the Czech Republic. Francesco Gullotti, former Military Individual World Champion in Rio (Brazil) in 2011, was preceded by the very strong Russian Maksimov, who led an almost perfect race with seven pitches with zero centimeters of error, and from the Slovenian Salkic.

In parallel, the Skydiving Training Center took part in the Parashow 2015 competition held at the Guidonia Military Airport in a splendid public setting. Particularly in evidence is the first caporal major Luigi Pinchieri who with the excellent final result of two centimeters of error places himself in first place, followed by the major corporal chosen Fabrizio Mangia who is in third place.

Among women the sergeant Daniela D'Angelo's race was excellent, climbing to the top of the podium in the women's ranking, behind her was Sergeant Annalisa di Tecco in third place. Unfortunately, only one centimeter escapes the first place even in the team competition where the men of the Folgore Paratrooper Brigade are in second place.

The next commitment for the Army athletes will be the 5th round of the World Cup Series which will be held in Thalgau (Austria) from 4th to 6th September.
