Following the agreements between the competent Departments and the Prefecture of Venice, the Lagoons will be employed to monitor sensitive sites and objectives of the lagoon city as well as in patrol activity in the city and at Tessera "Marco Polo" international airport ( VE).
The Italian Army soldiers, since August 2008, participate in the Safe Roads operation, in competition and jointly with the Police Forces in order to increase deterrence against petty crime to guarantee security and crime prevention.
