Operation "Safe Roads": intervention in Ponte di Nanto

A patrol of the Italian Army, employed in the "Safe Roads" operation, intervened at Ponte di Nanto, in the province of Vicenza, to check a suspect vehicle.

The soldiers of the "Veneto-Friuli-Trentino Alto Adige" Tactical Regiment, commanded by the "Serenissima" Lagoon Regiment, were employed in a territorial control service when their attention was drawn to two suspicious individuals aboard a vehicle stopped at the Zancan workshop.

The identification activity, carried out jointly with the police, led to the arrest of the two individuals who were found to be two already reported to the competent authorities.

Municipal authorities and the provincial commander of the Carabinieri expressed words of lively satisfaction for the soldiers involved.
