The Jubilee Task Force on Rome is operational

(To Army Majority State)
18/11/15

The Army has implemented, on the basis of what was established by the Rome police headquarters, the integration of the safety device in competition and in coordination with the police.

La Task Force "Jubilee" was combined with that composed of the Army soldiers already operating in the Capital employed in the "Safe Roads" operation within the "Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo" grouping, under the leadership of the brigade commander "Granatieri di Sardegna ", Brigadier General Gaetano Lunardo.

The 700 soldiers of the Army are thus added to those engaged since 2008 in the "Safe Roads" operation. This will allow a more widespread garrison and patrol of sensitive sites in Rome which will go from the current 90 to over 140.

The new device will go from 1300 to about 2000 units by engaging staff from multiple departments.

The men and women who arrived in Rome come from departments located throughout the national territory (paratroopers, lagoons, artillerymen and Alpine troops) and are added to those already employed for some time in Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo (grenadiers, spearmen, infantry, bersaglieri).
