Morosini, Douhet and beyond: the excellence of the Italian Military Schools also includes Nunziatella and Teuliè. Two schools belonging to the Italian Army and which for the school year 2017/2018 offer the opportunity to 160 young people to be admitted to their high schools. Specifically, as reported in the competition announcement (Official Gazette 4th Special Series 17 March 2017), at the "Nunziatella" in Naples there will be 32 places for the classical high school and 48 for the scientific high school; same thing at the "Teuliè" in Milan: 32 places for the classical high school and 48 for the scientific high school.

What it means to attend a Military School today, we talked about it with Captain Orazio Di Salvo, Public Information Officer of the "Nunziatella" of Naples: "attending a Military School is certainly a highly formative and personal experience that involves students from many points of view: from ethical rigor to result orientation; from healthy competition to cooperation and sense of group. 'I prepare for life and arms' is the motto of the Nunziatella School and also the aim: to train citizens with an educational action aimed at moral as well as cultural evolution, through a path of growth aimed at consolidating the principles of solidarity human and dignity, which will guide students towards a wider spectrum of career opportunities".

An educational and personal experience to which, however, another aspect must be added, as stated by Captain Pasqualino Bianco, the Public Information Officer of the “Teuliè” School in Milan: “the overall experience is linked to the student's dream, that of wanting to attend the Teuliè: a school of excellence, open to everyone, but not for everyone. We must have determination and commitment. Without these two characteristics, you cannot start to make a future investment on yourself".

Two different Schools if we consider the geographical origin of the young: 80% of the Nunziatella welcomes young people from Central-Southern Italy, while Teuliè has students from all over Italy, with regions that are numerically more present, including Lombardy , Piedmont, Lazio and Sicily. On the other hand, the percentage of young people who have reached the third year of schooling, or more than one, apply for access to the Academies: 70% for the Neapolitan institute and 80% for the Milanese one. Questions that, thanks to the preparation received, lead to obtaining excellent results.

"How do I enter the Teuliè Military School"Is the first question that parents ask during the Open Day - continues Captain White. "Many are aware of the competition announcement, others less so. The importance of Open Day is precisely this: on the one hand we provide assistance in how to participate in the competition and on the other hand we give parents a complete picture of what the school's activities are, so that they are aware of it and can reflect. Whoever leaves our Military School is prepared physically, culturally and professionally. Ours is a gym of life, where the student learns his knowledge, but also acquires a method to manage his time and solve problems. A method, made of technique and tactics, which puts it ahead, ahead of its own peer who did not follow the same path ".

For those interested in getting to know the reality of the Teuliè Military School, an appointment with the Open Day on April 8th.
