Yesterday in Rome, a 52-year-old Colombian man aboard an urban bus started shouting that he wanted to blow himself up and invited the other passengers to join in his suicidal intent.

The bus driver, aware of the scene and given the instability of the man, ended the race to the terminus not far away. Here some passengers got out of the vehicle and immediately turned to the Army soldiers on duty at the nearby Centocelle metro station, signaling what had happened.

The two Alpine troops, from the 9 ° regiment, engaged in the "Safe Roads" operation, approached the indicated bus and were also contacted by the driver who confirmed what the passengers had already said.

At that point the soldiers secured the area and attempted to undertake an interview with the reported man, but the latter, in a frenzy, hurled himself against them, even trying to snatch the supplied weapon from his hand.

So the two soldiers of the Army were forced to immobilize him, after which they handed him over to the police of the State Police who arrived at the place that subsequently arrested him for aggravated resistance to a public official, and was denounced on the loose for threats for terrorist purposes, procured alarm and interruption of public service.
