Soldiers are suicidal

28/03/15

In the early afternoon yesterday in Rome, at the Anagnina underground station, the Italian Army military patrol used in the "Safe Roads" Operation rescued a man about to commit suicide.

The attendant, a fifty-four-year-old man, lay on the tracks waiting for the train.

The soldiers, during their patrolling, noticed the man in obvious confusion and immediately rescued.

Contacted the 118, he was transported to the "Fate bene Fratelli" hospital.

The Italian Army has recently intensified its contribution to support the Police Forces, in particular in the Capital and in its major exchange hubs.
