The timely intervention of two graduates of the Roccaraso training logistics base avoided serious problems for some motorists along a main road in Roccaraso on 30 and 31 last December.

Volunteers in permanent service of the Army, chief corporal chosen Raimondi and chief corporal chosen chief Cesarone, returning from a planned activity on the ski slopes, helped some motorists who, due to the presence of ice on the road, lost the control of their cars and risked ending up in a cliff.

Subsequently the two soldiers, while awaiting the arrival of snow-clearing vehicles and city police, regulated the traffic and guaranteed the safety of the numerous motorists in transit.

This is the umpteenth episode that affected the Italian Army soldiers after the exceptional snowfall that paralyzed the Alta Val di Sangro in the 2014 year-end days.

For the episode, the mayor of Roccaraso thanked the commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tiziano Fabi, pointing out the speed with which, over the years, the logistic training base intervened in favor of the citizenship with operations that allowed to help many people in difficulty .
