Today at the Military Academy, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Army, general of the army corps Danilo Errico, the traditional ceremony of the "Mak P 100" of the cadet officers 197 ° course "Tenacity" of the Military Academy of Modena, an event that marks the 100 days of the "star" and therefore the promotion to the rank of second lieutenant for the 182 students of the Army and of the Carabinieri, including 5 foreign visitors from Afghanistan, Peru and Somalia.
For the occasion, the commander of the Carabinieri Schools, general of the army corps Carmine Adinolfi, the commander for Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army, general of the army corps Pietro Serino, and numerous local, civil and religious authorities, including the mayor of the city of Modena, dr. Giancarlo Muzzarelli.
The ceremony was opened by the students' regiment which, after having paraded through the city streets, as evidence of the deep bond that unites the citizens of Modena with the Military Academy, lined up at the Novi Sad Park.
In his speech, General Errico highlighted that to be "commanders of men", it is not enough to have passed university exams or to be endowed with excellent qualities, but full and conscious sharing of what constitutes a real lifestyle is necessary. , based on the noblest ideals and principles, such as a sense of honor, loyalty to institutions, altruism and courage, moral and physical. "I invite you to face this further period of study and exercises that awaits you with the same motivation and tenacity that you have already shown in the last two years, without ever losing sight of the final goal: awareness of the responsibility of command" ... "it will be up to , therefore, it is up to you and your qualities to help guide this crucial process of renewal, deserving their trust and appreciation and, more generally, the esteem of all Italian citizens whom the army has been able to conquer through years of hard work and sacrifices in the field in delicate as well as complex interventions at home and abroad ”, finally concluded General Errico.
