Mak P 100 of the 195 ° "Impetus" course

A sobering military ceremony was held today at the Military Academy, in the courtyard of honor, on the occasion of the Mak P 100 of the official students of the 195 "Impeto" course which marks the 100 days for the promotion to the rank of second lieutenant for the 148 students of the Army, of the Carabinieri as well as 11 foreign students.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Army Chief of Staff, general of the army corps Danilo Errico and the major top authorities of the Army and of the Carabinieri and the Modena authorities.

During his speech, General Errico stated: "Official students of the 195 course Impeto, you are the real protagonists of this ceremony that seals a fundamental milestone in your military career and crowns two demanding academic years in which you have given up leisure and entertainment, typical for young people of your age, to train you in the school of duty and loyalty to institutions ”. He also expressed again: "the deepest condolences and feelings of closeness" to the relatives of Major Corporal Fabio Comini who died yesterday following a tragic accident during an aviation training activity.

At the end of the greeting address to the official students of the commander of the general institute of Salvatore Camporeale division, the traditional passage of the "Academic Stecca" between the 195 ° students and those of the 196 ° course was followed.

With the passage of the "Academic Stecca" the oldest students, now reached the end of the two years of study spent, give the younger pupils the cue, large scale reproduction of a small wooden tool, with a central groove, which was used , once by the students to polish the metal buttons of the jacket without dirtying the fabric.

The celebration of the Mak P 100 is a tradition that dates back to the 1840.
