The Army continues to work with the other Armed Forces in favor of the population hit by the tremendous earthquake in the early hours of the day yesterday.

At the moment the Army is involved in 500 military and 137 vehicles (mostly belonging to the Genio units) divided into structures for debris removal, transportation and fire prevention.

In the localities of Amatrice, Accumoli and Rieti there are around 370 military and 88 vehicles of the Army including buses, tactical and commercial vehicles, lighting towers, wheeled backhoe loaders, special tools of the genius such as loaders, mini-excavators, tankers and trailers. In Ascoli Piceno and Pescara del Tronto (AP) about 130 military and 49 vehicles are used including generators, tactical vehicles and lighting tower.

During the first hours of the intervention, the Army proceeded to manually remove the rubble of the houses, given the need to recover survivors.

In some areas, given the limited space available, mini excavators and mini loaders are in action to recover debris and debris.

Over time, the logistics chain improves its mechanisms, with consequent benefits for the civilian population.
