Also this year, the preparation of the 71 scientific and logistic participants selected by ENEA will be entrusted to the instructors of the Alpine Training Center, which will test their individual capacities during an intense preparation period.

The patrons, divided into two groups, during the first weeks of September, will prepare themselves in view of their employment in Antarctica, entrusted to the Military Alpine Guides of the Ski Mountaineering Section of Courmayeur.

Researchers will be trained in mountain movement, survival in base camps in tents, on glaciers, in difficult conditions and in isolation. The aspirants will be divided into two groups, based on their future employment: for some, in fact, the course will have a "soft" address, leading them to operate in medium-high mountain climatic conditions. For others, however, the course will be "hard", with decidedly more challenging and cold training scenarios.
