The final phase of theArmy Warfighting Experiment (AWE), a British Army experimentation campaign which aims to learn about and evaluate the most modern technologies made available by industry, inserting them into a tactical scenario in order to test their validity, testing them in the field with operational units in live scenarios , virtual and constructive.

The final exercise, called "Urban Blunt & Dislocate", was held in the "Salisbury Plain" training area and, for the first time, was also "open" to international operational units with the participation of a team from the School of Infantry of the Italian Army.

The men and women of the Infantry School operated alongside the British and as many units from France, Germany, USA, Holland and Spain in testing technologies, command and control systems and platforms proposed by the British Army and industry, integrated, then, during the final tactical act.

The opening to Italy represented an enormous opportunity because it allows us to operate in an international context like other nations considered "strategic" partners, thus having "preview" access to the most advanced technologies on the market or under study.
