The Italian army, increasingly characterized by the ability to "dual-use" intervention, or excellence both in the operational sphere but also in the interventions to support the population in the field of security and civil protection, has deployed highly specialized units such as the units of the genius.
These departments, thanks to the high level of preparation of their men and the technical and tactical means at their disposal, were able to carry out important and in some cases very complex operations, as recently happened already in Genoa, Parma, Alessandria and in the Grosseto.
