The Army faces the water crisis in Messina

At the request of the prefecture of Messina, the Army intervened from the early hours of the morning to deal with the lack of water in the City of the Strait, which occurred following extraordinary maintenance work carried out on the city's water network.

The "Aosta" brigade has made its logistical assets and specialized teams equipped with tankers of the 24th "Peloritani" artillery regiment and the 6th command and tactical support department available to the citizens, employed for needs reported in various areas of the city by the municipal operations center (Coc), which indicated the places and public bodies or structures to be supplied.

Today's intervention for the Army is the fourth of this type of intervention since the beginning of the year which requires the presence of specialized operators and mobile tanks in Messina, in full synergy in the complex civil protection device together with all the other operators of the institutional machine, set up to alleviate the inconveniences of citizens.
