The Army at the “Telethon 2016”: over 260 soldiers from four brigades registered

The Army was among the protagonists of the 18th edition of the "Telethon 24 x 1 hour" relay. 11 teams were registered representing 4 different brigades: the "Julia" with 5 teams, the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" with 3, the "Friuli" with 2 and the "Ariete" with 1.

 Many citizens of all ages who, intrigued by the presence of the Army, approached the women and men of the stand set up by the "Julia" brigade. The staff of the meteomont unit of the brigade command exhibited materials supplied to the Alpine troops; the Alpini del Command Department and Tactical Support "Julia" made personal protection equipment available to visitors; the knights of the 2 ° "Piedmont" have instead provided information on the different methods of recruitment in the Army.

During the event's opening ceremony the fanfare of the Alpine brigade "Julia" performed. Brigadier General Paolo Fabbri, commander of the "Julia", present at the award ceremony at the conclusion of the 24 x 1 now, has received appreciation from the organizers and authorities for the excellent work done by all the military personnel of the Army .

To signal the placement of the "Brigata Alpina Julia" team which was ranked sixteenth out of a total of 453 registered teams.

Telethon is a foundation that funds research on rare genetic diseases, directly manages fundraising initiatives and guarantees the resources needed for research projects rigorously evaluated and approved by an independent international medical and scientific commission.
