(To Army Majority State)

This year too the Army participated in the 80tha edition of EICMA, the international two-wheel exhibition, lining up three historic motorcycles from Motorization Museum of the Army logistics command and two "Cagiva" motorbikes of the railway regiment of Castel Maggiore (BO).

It was possible for visitors to take part in a test which put their road driving skills to the test thanks to a "simulator for driving motor vehicles", the Honda Riding Trainer, equipment which simulates numerous dangerous conditions in traffic and in many other different situations. The same is often used within "Seminars on road safety" to raise awareness among young people on the important and always very current topic of road safety.

The historic Army motorcycles attracted the attention not only of enthusiasts but also of many experts who were able to appreciate their characteristics and state of preservation. We are talking about an "Indian" motorcycle (the oldest American motorcycle manufacturer) from 1941 with a 4-stroke eight cycle engine with 3 gears and a speed of 120 km/h, a Guzzi "Superalce" 500 motorcycle from 1943, which remained in service well beyond its end of the Second World War, and of a 1940 "Bianchi" motorcycle with a displacement of 499 cm75 and a maximum speed of XNUMX km/h.

During the days of the exhibition there were also numerous authorities, both civil and military, who wanted to stop at the stand presided over by personnel of the Lombardy Army military command of Milan and the transport and materials school of Rome.
