The exercise, organized by the operational command of inter-vertex summit (COI), under the aegis of the General Staff of Defense, involved, besides the Italian military 2000, also representatives of 14 allied countries. The activity responds to the need of NATO to equip itself with a command and control structure capable of operating with the various armed forces of the Allied countries in international contexts.
The logistical effort supported by the command of Solbiate Olona involved 4 commercial aircraft, 2 ships, 2 trains, 200 wheeled tactical vehicles, 330 container, 70 large capacity generators and around 180 tends thus allowing to test the capacity of use of the instrument military beyond national borders.
The NRDC-ITA is a unit of the Italian army based in Solbiate Olona (VA) which, thanks to this exercise, continues its journey towards the national certification of full operational capacity and the NATO of inter-force and multinational command that can be projected in contexts of crisis.
