In recent days a delegation of officers of the Military Engineering Center of Excellence (MILENG - COE Center of Excellence of Engineers for NATO Doctrine) visited the Railway Engineers Regiment (unit affiliated to the NATO Rapid Reaction Command, NRDC-ITA).
The purpose of the visit was to acquire knowledge of the real capabilities and potential in the railway field, both in the "movement" sector and in the "infrastructure" sector.
The delegation, welcomed by the regiment commander, Colonel Stefano Pizzotti, after attending a cognitive briefing on the department, witnessed a series of activities typical of the railway specialty, noting the high operating and training standards of the Unit, unique in its kind within the Atlantic alliance. At the end of the visit the delegation had words of appreciation for the organization and the expressed professionalism.
