The "Folgore" celebrates St. Michael the Archangel

The 1 October, the staff of the Folgore brigade and of the Special Forces command participated in the Mass for the patronage of the patron saint of paratroopers - San Michele Arcangelo celebrated in the renowned sanctuary of the Madonna di Montenero in Livorno whose origins, according to tradition, they date back to the middle of the 1300 and, since always, is the reference Sanctuary for the soldiers of the Folgore.

The function, officiated by the military chaplain (Don Vincenzo Puzone), was attended by many soldiers of the Thunderbolt and Special Forces, to which was added a representation of the Carabinieri Paratroopers.

The commander of the brigade, General Lorenzo D'addario, after the touching moment of the reading of the paratrooper's prayer by the non-commissioned officer of the 183rd parachute regiment (1st Marshal Antonio Carito), in thanking the authorities present, wanted to emphasize the the importance of the role of the family in supporting those who, being part of an already cohesive group, face difficulties day after day.
