The "Checkmate" exercise has concluded, which saw the units of the "Garibaldi" Bersaglieri Brigade engaged in a long cycle of training activities as part of the preparation activities for the preparation of force packages with a high state of NATO readiness .
The exercise, conducted under the guidance of the 4th Tank Regiment, was an opportunity to also conduct tank, scout, mortar and sapper specialty training, for the growth of the Junior Leaders and the rapid inclusion of new personnel -assigned and continue along the path of revitalization of the genius capacity on the dart platform.
The first two weeks of the weapons camp took place at the CAT (tactical training center) where, with the aid of simulation systems, the level of preparation of the units in the planning and conduct of offensive and defensive tactical activities was tested . Subsequently, live fire activities were carried out, following a progressive level of complexity, culminating with the final exercise of a minor multi-weapon complex with the use of tanks Ram, blind Centaur and VCC Dart in the conduct of an attack, in a night environment, as part of a tactical activity to exploit success.
The final exercise, which took place in the presence of the commander of the "Garibaldi", Brigadier General Mario Ciorra, highlighted the excellent level of preparation achieved by all the personnel exercised, confirming the high commitment made by the units of the brigade to ensure a constant level of readiness and guarantee a high capacity to operate in any crisis scenario quickly and effectively.
