The "Friuli" brigade in training

Today, at the headquarters of the 7 ° Aves "Vega" regiment, the main training event of theAirmobile Permanent Training (APT III), an exercise conducted by the "Friuli" aircraft brigade aimed at certifying the achievement of the full operational capacity of the dependent departments, with particular reference to the conduct of missions of Personnel Recovery, Airmobile Quick Reaction Force e Medical Evacuation.

The activity, conducted in the presence of the commander of the Terrestrial Operations, general of army corps Alberto Primicerj, summarizes a long training period characterized by the synergic integration of specific abilities of the aircraft and infantry units.
In particular, the crews of the 7th Vega "together with those of the 5" Rigel "and the 3" Aldebaran "helicopter regiment for special operations, units of the Army Aviation, and units of the 66th Aircraft Infantry Regiment" Trieste ", have planned and conducted recovery missions of injured personnel-MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) / NEO (Noncombatant Evacuation Operation) or remained isolated-IP (Isolated Personnel) in a non-permissive environment, as well as exploration and surveillance missions of the area of 'use, expressing the marked interoperability and procedural standardization existing between all the components of infantry, exploration and escort helicopters (AW 129) and tactical transport (NH 90), typical of the "Friuli" aircraft brigade.

The interoperability obtained was further enhanced by the participation of other members of the Army; in particular, two detachments of the 185 ° reconnaissance and objective acquisition regiment, 60 paratroopers of the 186 ° "Folgore" paratroopers regiment, launched by CH 47 and NH 90 helicopters, conducted the preventive occupation of an area in favor of aircraft structures and other units of the 2 ° / 121 ° anti-aircraft artillery regiment, of the 6 ° general logistic support regiment, of the 7 ° "Sacile" transmission regiment, of the RISTA-EW brigade and of the Media Combat Team of the Alpine brigade "Julia".

The commander of the aircraft brigade, General Paolo Riccò, director of the exercise, expressed his satisfaction with the high level of training and doctrinal and procedural knowledge demonstrated by the departments involved during the exercise.
