The "Ariete" brigade in Sardinia trains itself in the context of the "Summer Tempest" exercise

The final phase of the training held by the brigade is in full swing at the Capo Teulada range in Sardinia Ram as part of the "Summer Tempest" exercise, a complex activity aimed at training the departments of the large armored unit and testing the digitized command and control systems of the Forza NEC (Network Enabled Capability) program.

To the activity, planned, organized and conducted by theRam, which for the occasion has deployed its brigade command post in the firing range, take part in the 11 ° Bersaglieri regiment, the 132 ° tank regiment and the logistic regiment Ram, as well as specialized structures of the artillery command (COMART), del command of the transmissions and information of the Army (COTIE), with the technical coordination of the Army simulation and validation center (CE.SI.VA.) for aspects related to digitized command and control systems.

The activity is developed through a series of simulations of deployment and focus use of the units in different operational scenarios, in order to refine the ability to execute the various intervention methods, test the technical procedures, special tactics and experiment with the new digital technologies for operations management.

In addition to traditional carts Ram and to artillery pieces, combat vehicles are used in the exercise Dart e Arrow and mortar units, in the context of dynamic actions that have so far highlighted, on the whole, the remarkable capacity for cooperation between tanks, artillery and heavy and light infantry units.

The current exercise phase, with the actual execution of the planned tactical acts (LIVEX), was preceded in recent days by the conduct of a CPX (Command Post Exercise) whose fulcrum was the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps (NRDC) of Solbiate Olona, ​​with a view to preparing force packages for the VJTF requirement (Very High Readyness Joint Task Force).
