For the occasion, the commander of the Southern Military Region, general of Corrado Dalzini army corps, wanted to huddle once again, next to his family in memory of his late comrade, bearing witness to the affection and closeness of all the armed force.
The event took place in the wider area of the regional section of the Bersaglieri National Association which was held in the town of Barcelona on 12 and 13 July for the occasion.
The La Rosa family is a fine example of attachment to the values of Patria: Giuseppe, heroically immolating himself by shielding his body to save his fellow soldiers during the 8 June 2013 attack in Farah decorated with a gold medal for Military Valor at memory; his two brothers, who wanted to follow his example and entered the ranks of the army; the father, who wears the feathered cap and the decorations of his fallen son in the official events; while the whole family takes every opportunity to demonstrate their sense of communion and belonging to the armed force.
