The Chief of Defense Staff, General Claudio Graziano, and the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Danilo Errico, having heard the news of the death of Sergeant Sergio David Ferreri following an accident during an aviation training activity, have expressed "the deepest condolences and feelings of closeness" to the non-commissioned family members.
Sergio David Ferreri, 32, effective at the 9th Assault Parachute Regiment “Col. Moschin ”in Livorno, had served in Afghanistan in two different mission shifts.
An expert paratrooper, he also obtained the American patent in free fall technique as well as that of Portuguese and Spanish military paratrooper.
