The theme of the exercise was the use of a terrestrial artillery brigade in the planning, management and conduct of the fire in a WAR-FIGHTING operation during which functional combat support areas were activated using components of the artillery c / a, AVES and RISTA.
Operational capabilities and procedures offered by cutting-edge telematic and interactive architectures have been tested, aimed at raising the readiness threshold for the surveillance of the battlefield and the acquisition of objectives in relation to the most modern requirements of artillery engagement terrestrial and special forces, which in practice exercised an integrated network of sensors.
In addition to the artillery units, regimental structures of the 6th REMA, the 41st "CORDENONS", the 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment and the 11th Civitavecchia Broadcasting Regiment took part in the exercise, which ensured the Communication & Information System support .
The purpose of the exercise was also to subject the "ARIETE" 132 artillery regiment to operational evaluation, verifying the validity of the technical work procedures and the specialization training programs in use.
The exercises included among them the commander of the terrestrial operational forces, army corps general Alberto Primicerj and the artillery commander and inspector of the artillery weapon, division general Giovanni Domenico Pintus.
