The SME boss receives the Foedus award

The Chief of Staff of the Army, Claudio Graziano yesterday received the Italy Prize for the efforts made by men and women in peace missions and during natural disasters. The award ceremony took place during the 14th edition of the solidarity gala of the Foedus Foundation "A Gift for a Smile" which promotes the best of Italianness through culture, business and solidarity works.

During the gala the Foedus Awards and the career awards that the Foundation assigns to personalities from the world of culture, business and solidarity who have particularly distinguished themselves in the spread of Italianness were delivered.

This year the Foedus solidarity award was presented to Dr. Aleida Guevara March, for her social commitment in favor of disabled children in Cuba. International Award to the president of SIOI (Italian Society of International Organizations) Franco Frattini for supporting internationalization of Italian companies. Business Award to the Italian-American restaurant entrepreneur of excellence, Tony May.

Recognition to the company Paolo Tomasi, president of COOU for the company in favor of the environment and development; Career recognition to Professor Alberto Fini, pediatrician for his solidarity action. Career recognition to Mr. Joseph R. Guccione, US Marshall for his dedication to freedom. Recognition for the memory of culture to the director Lorin Maazel.
