The head of SME at the School of Health and Veterinary

(To Army Majority State)
01/04/16

The Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Danilo Errico, visited, today, the Military Medical and Veterinary School of Rome, where he was welcomed by the commander of the command for the Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine, general of army corps Giorgio Battisti and the commander of the Institute, Brigadier General Luigi Maria D'Anna.

During the visit, the tasks and training activities that the Institute carries out in the health and veterinary field were illustrated. Particular interest was raised in the advanced health simulation activities, recently carried out by the School and aimed at obtaining highly qualified personnel in the management of first aid in a hostile non-permissive environment.

The whole complex of simulation activities aims to verify in the field the level of preparation reached by doctors, nurses, military rescuers and health assistants during the training process, testing the individual skills of the participants in conditions of high stress and in situations highly critical operations.

During the morning, General Errico also carried out a survey of the infrastructures and greeted the actual staff and course attendees, underlining the importance of this training center in light of new international projects such as the newly established Multinational Medical Joint Training Center (M2CTC) aimed at validating and certifying the European health logistic assets.
