The training module on crowd control techniques, carried out by the personnel of the 62nd "Sicilia" infantry regiment, at the "Aosta" training base in Piazza Armerina, in the province of Enna, concluded in recent days.
The activity, structured into theoretical and practical lessons, allowed the personnel of the regimental companies to acquire basic knowledge relating to the techniques and procedures to be adopted in the event of disorder, dangerous situations and threats to public order. , with the aim of further strengthening the anti-riot intervention capacity also in support of the police forces, alongside whom the Army often works, such as, for example, the "Safe Roads" operation.
The training module concluded with a final exercise with opposing parties which allowed the acquired techniques and reaction capacity to be tested in "Crowd and Riot Control" (CRC) contexts.
