The training activity was aimed at consolidating and increasing the technical-tactical capacity of the armored unit in facing the risks arising from a hypothetical attack conducted with CBRN weapons (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) as well as training the CSS component ( Combat Service Support) to the creation of a regimental decontamination post.
During the exercise, CBRN sabotage activity was hypothesized against a tank platoon that had to implement all the individual and specialty protection procedures.
The activity allowed the evaluating team of the Bersaglieri Brigade Command "Garibaldi" of Caserta and of the 2nd Command of the Defense Forces of San Giorgio a Cremano (NA), to verify the achievement of the specific training objective as well as the implementation of internal procedures department.
