VFP3 1 2022rd block shouts “I swear”

(To 17th RAV "Acqui")
15/06/23

At the "Oreste Salomone" barracks, headquarters of the 17th Volunteer Training Regiment (RAV) "Acqui", the 988 volunteers on fixed term one year (VFP1) of the Italian Army, belonging to the 3rd block of 2022, have sworn allegiance to the Italian republic.

The ceremony, presided over by the commander of the Cesano Infantry School, General Eugenio Dessì, was attended by local civil, military and religious authorities and the families of the jurors.

In front of the regiment's glorious War Flag, the volunteers sealed the solemn act of the oath by pronouncing the traditional formula and singing the Mameli Hymn in unison, performed by the fanfare of the "Garibaldi" Bersaglieri brigade.

"... today we are celebrating an official act, the ceremony of your oath to the Italian Republic, but we are also witnesses of a vow, of a solemn promise towards the homeland, towards millions of Italians and, above all, towards of yourselves!" were the words with which the regiment commander, Colonel Matteo Vitulano, during his greeting speech, urged the jurors to continue to lavish the same commitment that characterized the training period spent at the 17th RAV "Acqui".

The training of military personnel allows young recruits to learn the rules governing military organization, to achieve adequate physical preparation and acquire the basic and "combat" knowledge and skills of each soldier.

In the coming days, the volunteers of the 3nd block 2022 will leave the city of Capua to reach the units of the Armed Force, located throughout the national territory.
