The commemorative ceremony of the 71st anniversary of the military events in Case Grizzano (BO) took place, a constitutive anniversary of the 183rd "Nembo" parachute regiment of Pistoia.
In the presence of the commander of the "Folgore" brigade and of numerous civil and military authorities of Pistoia, Prato and Lucca, the commander of the "Nembo", Colonel Sergio Cardea, wished to honor the anniversary with the paratroopers of the 183rd.
A sober and heartfelt ceremony that, in the re-enactment of an important chapter connected with the Italian land liberation campaign, following the armistice of the 1943, has allowed to strengthen the already excellent relations existing between the "Nembo" and the Tuscan cities that they host and have seen it operate.
The unit, based in Pistoia, is in fact engaged as a grouping "Tuscany" of the operation "Safe Roads", which sees the paratroopers of the "Folgore" deployed to protect sensitive sites and objectives, in competition to the police in the cities of Florence, Prato, Livorno, Lucca and Pitigliano (GR).
