Registration continues at theNational Parachutist Association of Italy (Rome section) at the 161st parachuting course under military control. The inauguration is scheduled for October 5.

The course, open to all, will end after 10 weeks of theoretical and practical training in the facilities of the Folgore gym, in via Livorno in Rome.

Under the technical guidance of Dean "Mimmo" Aloi, aspiring paratroopers will face the final suitability exams, to then obtain the qualification (issued jointly with the brigade thunderbolt) with the rituals of three launches at the Reggio Emilia airfield.

This time, however, the attention of the media goes well beyond the punctual magazine of enthusiasts and industry observers. On the initiative of President Adriano Tocchi, the 161st course is dedicated to Specnaz Russian Alexander Prokhorenko, who died in Syria in March 2016 during the recapture of Palmyra, occupied by ISIS.

The memory of the acquiring paratrooper virtually unites, beyond borders and flags, ideals too often forgotten as courage, sense of duty, love of country and sacrifice. As was easy to predict, the applause of Russian institutions at the event has also stirred the attention of many non-professionals.
