Army paratroopers at ''FALCON LEAP 23''

A representation of Army paratroopers, selected among the junior leaders of their departments, participated in the multinational exercise "FALCON LEAP 23" which took place in the Netherlands.

The training activity included the development of mass airdrops and tactical airdrops created with both the automatic opening technique and the free fall technique. This type of activity is particularly rewarding as it encourages the exchange of information on the air launch procedures and materials supplied by the participating countries, thus guaranteeing an increase in the standards of interoperability and multinational integration.

A component of the "Folgore" air supply company was also involved and, together with the crews and aircraft of the 46th air brigade of the Air Force, operated within the "International Cargo Delivery System (CDS) Jump Week", carrying out air drops of materials conditioned in medium and heavy loads.

Parachute and air force units from Belgium, Canada, France, Germany and Great Britain participated in the exercise, which is the backdrop to the commemorations of the anniversary of Operation “Market Garden”, conducted by the Allies in September 1944 during the Second World War. , Italy, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Spain and the United States of America.
