The celebrations began on Friday 3 with a TCL (Free Fall Technique) aviolianum directed by President Andreani of the ANPd'I Section of Filottrano: at the door of the "Pilatus" flying over the skies of the district Pradellona, there were, in addition to National President of the ANPd'I, General Giovanni Fantini, Brigadier General Giovanni Maria Iannucci, Colonel Maurizio Fronda and Colonel Sergio Cardea, respectively commanders of the paratroop brigade "Folgore", the 185 ° RRAO and the 183 ° Regiment "Nembo ".
In the afternoon the paratroopers stationed in Pistoia, after the honors given to the commander of the CME Marche, general Rosario Moschella, carried out the Flag-raising in the presence of the mayor Lauretta Giulioni and Sergio Rinaldoni, first citizen of Poggio Rusco (MN). In this context the two Municipalities, united by the bloody fights that in the 1944 and in the 1945 saw the parachutists of the "Nembo" and the "F" squads liberate their respective municipalities from the retreating German troops, decided to seal a historic twinning.
In the presence of citizenship, far from frightened by the rather high temperatures, the message of the Undersecretary of Defense was also read and testimonies were made touching on the days of the fighting, among which the one of the major parachutist Vandalo Mei, class 1917 deserves mention.
The celebrations continued with the surrender of the Honors and the due recollection in front of the four memorial stones present in the town, memory of as many events and bloody war episodes.
An exciting weekend, therefore, which saw today's paratroopers call to collect, with modesty, the merit of the heroic deeds of their predecessors in arms, many of whom perished in the name of freedom.
