More than 2200 soldiers from 10 countries including Italy, the United States, Great Britain Canada, Germany and Slovenia, during these days, engaged in the "Allied Spirit IV" exercise in progress, from 10 January to 5 February , at the Joint Multinational Training Command (JMRC) of Hohenfels in Germany.

The objective of the exercise is to increase the level of training of NATO forces to work jointly in the management of crisis scenarios as well as to test the interoperability of the systems and the security of communications.

For the first time Italy is in charge of providing the headquarters in this type of exercise and for this purpose the Bersaglieri brigade "Garibaldi", reinforced by specialized arrangements coming from the artillery command, the 7 transmission regiment and other departments of the armed force , was designated to command a multinational force made up of units from all the countries concerned.

The Hohenfels JMRC allows training in realistic scenarios and in difficult environmental conditions, a fundamental opportunity for commanders at all levels to work jointly and to share procedures and techniques in the planning and conduct of operations. The search for the highest levels of interoperability will make it possible to identify suitable solutions to contemporary challenges, contributing to raising the level of readiness of forces and creating a flexible and suitable military instrument to operate in any context.
