In recent days, the final phase of the "Wide Wet Gap Crossing and Logistic Bridging" exercise was held at the training areas of Münchmünster and Ingolstadt in Germany, organized by School of the Genius German, which saw the participation of the pontifical components of six other European armies and the Canadian Army.

The final event was attended by the commander of the Terrestrial Operational Support Forces, general of the army corps Massimo Scala, representing the Armed Force.

The 2nd Engineer Brigade Regiment, a department employed by the Engineer Brigade, participated in the exercise employing a core of staff that contributed to the planning of the activity and a company-level unit that built, with PGM bridge material, a ferry on the river Danube.

The "Wide Wet Gap Crossing and Logistic Bridging" represented a significant training opportunity to increase the knowledge of the bridging capabilities of the participating armies and their interoperability in operations gap crossing.
