The "Cavalleggeri di Treviso" command and tactical support department (28th) conducted, at the training area of ​​Picchi di Pertegada (Udine), a night-time exercise activity in an amphibious environment, aimed at the deployment of an tactical command post in a hostile environment, guaranteeing its functionality, safety and connections with the headquarters.

After the planning, issuing of orders, study of the mission and reharsal su sand table, the teams, fully equipped, reached the objective with a night movement, and then set up a tactical command post. Subsequently, the connection with the radio room on site was created and tested and the security service organised.

The activity was completed by a series of "activations" aimed at testing the automatic reaction, defense and medical evacuation procedures.

This activity, an integral part of the continuous and progressive training of the command department, allowed the junior leaders to deal with the principles of mission command, putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the application of the planning process for smaller units and, for the cavalrymen , to train to carry out assigned tasks in a realistic and challenging context.
